China's electric loaders continue to "explode", and the 25% small goal is achieved ahead of schedule?
2024 can be called the year of explosive growth for electric loaders. The market continues to rise and prices continue to involute. It caused a huge storm in the originally stable loader market.
Domestic monthly penetration rate exceeds 25%
According to statistics from major loader manufacturing enterprises of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, a total of 6,431 electric loaders were sold from January to July 2024, an increase of 354.8% over the same period in 2023. Sales of electric loaders in the first seven months of this year have exceeded the total sales of the past three years.
The average monthly sales of electric loaders from January to July were 918 units, and monthly sales doubled compared with the same period in 2023. After May, sales continued to exceed 1,000 units, with a year-on-year increase of more than 300%.
Among them, 1,570 electric loaders were sold in June, a year-on-year increase of 418%. Excluding some of the export products, electric loaders accounted for about 26% of the domestic market that month. In July, 1,317 units were sold, accounting for more than 25% of the domestic loader market. Judging from the domestic monthly penetration rate alone, the small target of 25% penetration rate in 2025, which was widely expected by the industry, has been achieved ahead of schedule.
In terms of tonnage, from January to June 2024, a total of 45 3-ton electric loaders, 4,107 5-ton electric loaders, 829 6-ton electric loaders, and 130 7-ton electric loaders were sold. A total of 3 8-ton electric loaders have been sold. 5-ton electric loaders account for more than 80%, followed by 6-ton electric loaders, accounting for about 16%.
According to official news from Liugong, its monthly production and sales of electric loaders have exceeded 600 units, and its monthly export sales of electric loaders have exceeded 100 units.
XCMG officials said that in May 2024 alone, its new energy loaders produced and sold 500 units in a single month and exported 100 units in a single month.
