Recently, over five hundred Jiangling pickup trucks were shipped from Nanchang to Ghana and Nigeria in West Africa. These trucks will be delivered to leading mining companies and local government agencies, catering to both heavy-duty operations in mines and official travel. This marks a significant order for domestically produced passenger vehicles in expanding into the high-end government and corporate procurement market in Africa.
This shipment includes 313 Jiangling Avenue and Jiangling Baodian pickup trucks, destined for Asante Gold Corporation, a well-known gold mining company in Ghana. They will primarily be used for personnel commuting, geological exploration, and material transport within the mine. Prior to delivery, both models underwent a year-long on-site durability test in mining areas. They were specifically optimized for the high temperatures, dust, and rough roads characteristic of West Africa, with their power stability, chassis performance, and body sealing and dustproofing all passing rigorous high-intensity operational testing. Powertrain and body hardware are key to a vehicle's adaptability to harsh mining conditions: The Jiangling Avenue is equipped with a Blue Flame MAX 2.5T diesel engine, boasting a peak torque of 510 N·m, providing ample low-speed traction and easily handling fully loaded uphill climbs; the chassis longitudinal beams are reinforced overall, improving rear axle torsional rigidity by 27%, and paired with a high-power cooling system, reducing the likelihood of failure during prolonged high-temperature continuous operation. The Jiangling Baodian emphasizes durability and ruggedness, with 68% of its body constructed from high-strength steel, and chassis steel strength increased by 25%. Multiple rust-proofing processes combined with a million-kilometer-level reliable powertrain ensure a longer service life under bumpy and corrosive environments.
In addition, over 200 Jiangling pickup trucks were delivered to the Nigerian Local Government Federation for use in grassroots governance patrols, border customs inspections, and other official duties. This marks the first time Jiangling pickup trucks have entered the Nigerian official procurement system in large quantities. Official procurement has stringent standards for vehicle quality and reliability, and this delivery further solidifies the brand reputation of domestically produced pickup trucks in West Africa.

Leveraging its diverse product line, Jiangling pickup trucks are adaptable to various needs, including mining, heavy-duty infrastructure projects, government services, and daily commercial use. The products are currently sold in 111 countries and regions worldwide, covering Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania. In the first five months of 2026, Jiangling Group's overall exports increased by 49.3% year-on-year, with pickup trucks becoming the core driver of export growth. In addition to product advantages, the brand has established localized support service networks in Ghana and Nigeria, providing integrated services such as readily available spare parts, regular maintenance, and emergency repairs, alleviating concerns about after-sales service for government and corporate clients and deepening long-term cooperation.
Currently, investment in the African mining and infrastructure sectors is steadily increasing, leading to continued expansion of the pickup truck market. Domestic pickup trucks, represented by Jiangling, are gradually replacing existing used Japanese and Korean vehicles and expensive European and American models in the region due to their excellent adaptability to local conditions and high cost-effectiveness, resulting in a steady increase in market share. Bulk purchases by large enterprises and government agencies have also become a new growth direction for domestic vehicles going global.
