On the evening of November 16, a special video connection was held between Bali and Bandung, Indonesia. At the main venue in Bali, President Xi Jinping and President Widodo jointly issued an order to announce the launch of the trial operation of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail.
Through the live webcast, this important achievement of China-Indonesia pragmatic cooperation was shown to the world. Behind this steel dragon that "the people of the two countries pay attention to, and the leaders of the two countries pay attention to", there are more than 500 sets of Chinese Sany equipment chasing stars and working hard.

The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail has a total length of 142 kilometers and a design top speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It connects the capital Jakarta and Bandung. It is the first high-speed rail in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, and it is also the first overseas construction project of China's high-speed rail with all systems, all elements, and the entire industry chain.

The two heads of state attach great importance to this flagship project of China-Indonesia pragmatic cooperation and personally promote it.

Since the start of the project, countless pieces of "SANY" equipment have been brought to Java Island, where the project is located, by Chinese builders.

According to statistics, during the peak period of construction, Sany had more than 500 large-scale equipment in service here, including more than 150 excavators, more than 60 rotary drills, more than 50 cranes, more than 150 mixer trucks, more than 20 sets of mixing plants and More than 30 pump trucks tow pumps, etc., responsible for the whole line of earthwork and tunnel operations, concrete transportation and pumping, pouring piles and hoisting construction, etc.

According to Liu Haitao, the person in charge of the largest subcontractor of the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, the vast majority of the entire Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway construction line is equipped with Sany equipment, "its main construction equipment accounts for more than 80%."

More than 90% of the project completed

That night, during the joint observation by the two heads of state, a brand-new and beautiful comprehensive inspection vehicle turned on its headlights with a crisp whistle, slowly drove out of Dekarur Station and accelerated. There was warm applause from the audience.

According to reports, the Dekaruer train station is the only place for high-speed rail vehicles to be parked and maintained on the entire line. The underground is a 25-meter-thick silt layer. After multiple Sany excavators, rotary drilling rigs, pump trucks and other pipe piles and pouring operations, at the end of April 2021, the main project of the EMU was successfully completed.

"Hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, as long as we are united, nothing is impossible." A Chinese-Indonesian bilingual song with the theme of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway, "Move Forward, Realize Dreams", sang the aspirations of the local people.

Zhang Zhaoqiang, general manager of the Indonesia region, introduced, "Everywhere the project goes, people from nearby villages rush to work on the construction site. After work, many of them will learn to drive Sany excavators and cranes."

It is estimated that over the years, the high-speed rail construction site school opened by China Railway Group has trained more than 100 local operators using Sany equipment as teaching aids. The Indonesian people have sincerely liked the quality of Chinese equipment and the serious and responsible spirit of Chinese engineers.
